Spill Control : Spill Kits Explained
What are Spill Kits?
Spill Kits are packs with a variety of absorbents that provide quick and mobile isolation and efficient spill cleanup and disposal. They come in a variety of styles and sizes and can be used for an array of spill types. The three most common types of Spill Kits are:
- Oil Spill Kits - for oils, solvents, coolants, inks, etc on land indoor and outdoors.
- Chemical Spill Kits - for oil based liquids on waste, streams, ditches, ponds, etc.
- Maintenance / Universal Spill Kits - for chemical and acids on land and indoors.
All companies using potentially hazardous chemicals, flammable products or corrosive materials should have a selection of spill absorbent kits located strategically around their premises in the event of an accident. Only staff with spillage response training should be allowed to use our kits as untrained personnel may cause serious damage to their health and others.
