Infective Control : NewGenn® Instrument Wash

The process of washing instruments can generate droplets that land on the person doing the washing process. Those droplets can contain any of the infectious microbes found on the instruments and that creates a hazard to the person.

NewGenn® Instrument Wash is a concentrate that is diluted for use. It has the expected cleaning capacity of a wash but it also has the antimicrobial capacity of a high level disinfectant. In fact it is actually the same formulation used in NewGenn® High Level Disinfectant.

That combined cleaning and disinfecting role allows the instruments to be quickly cleaned but also provides added protection for anyone who comes into contact with droplets generated during the cleaning process.

How Does It Work?
The starting material for NewGenn Instrument Wash is natural plant oil. The molecules in the oil are adapted to turn them into detergents to provide the cleaning capacity. Those detergent molecules are then given a positive charge.
